1 / 3Royal Entertainment Cruise (Eleyele Waterside)
Eleyele, Ibadan, Oyo₦₦₦₦
Closed for today
The shore of Eleyele Lake, where you can take a boat out, ride the ferry to Awotan or just sit by the water.
Eleyele Lake was made in 1939 by damming the Ona River, for flood control and Ibadan's water supply. Today the waterside is busy with ferries carrying commuters across to Awotan, and with people coming to look at the water.
You can take a short ferry trip, a guided tour out to the dam, a speedboat or a paddle boat for two, and some people fish (bring your own gear). Early mornings and evenings are the nicest times. Wear the life jacket, and bring cash, since card and transfer payments can be unreliable here.
NOTE: Searching directly for "Lake Eleyele" might bring you to remote sections of the reservoir. Always input "Royal Entertainment Cruise" into your maps to reach the active dock, parking area, and setup facilities.
