Terms of use
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms cover your use of placetogoto. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. Questions: hello@placetogoto.com.
Place information
We work hard to keep places accurate, but prices, opening hours, entry fees and activities change, and places close. Everything on placetogoto is a guide, not a promise. Check with the place before you travel, especially for prices and opening times. We’re not responsible for your visit, or for anything a place does or doesn’t do.
Spotted something wrong? Tell us and we’ll fix it.
Your account
- You need to be 13 or older to create an account.
- Keep access to your email secure, since that’s how you sign in.
- Pick a username that isn’t offensive and doesn’t pretend to be someone else or a business you don’t run.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
Reviews and what you post
When you review a place, answer questions or upload a photo:
- Base it on a real visit and your honest experience.
- Don’t post reviews for a place you own, work for or were paid by, and don’t post fake reviews of a competitor.
- No hate, harassment, threats, personal details about other people, or anything illegal.
- Only upload photos you took or have the right to share.
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to show it on placetogoto, and to use it to produce summaries (like average ratings and “most people spend…”), for as long as it’s on the site. We may remove anything that breaks these terms, and we may suspend accounts that repeatedly do.
Using the site fairly
Don’t try to break, overload or get around the security of the site, and don’t copy its content in bulk (for example by scraping) without our permission.
Our content
The placetogoto name, logo, guides and the way places are described and organised belong to us. Photos may belong to the places or the people who took them.
Responsibility
placetogoto is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses that come from using the site, relying on its information, or visiting a place listed on it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer law that can’t be limited.
Changes and law
We may update these terms as the site grows. We’ll change the date at the top and, for big changes, tell signed-in users. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
